Work for Sonder Psychotherapy
At Sonder Psychotherapy, we believe that the quality of care we provide is directly connected to the quality of the environment we create for our clinicians. We are a values-driven practice built on the belief that every person's story deserves to be witnessed with care and curiosity — and that includes the people who work here.
Sonder Psychotherapy is a practice where clinicians are seen, supported, and given the space to do meaningful work. We are a small, collaborative team that takes our values seriously — in the room with our clients and with each other. We are committed to building a workplace culture that is affirming, equitable, and sustainable for everyone who is part of it. If that resonates with you, we hope you'll reach out.
We are always interested in connecting with talented, compassionate clinicians who are aligned with our mission of providing trauma-informed, culturally affirming, holistic mental health care. If you are looking for a practice where you feel supported, challenged, and genuinely valued, we'd love to hear from you.
Who We’re Looking for
We are always interested in connecting with talented, compassionate clinicians who are aligned with our mission of providing trauma-informed, culturally affirming, holistic mental health care. If you are looking for a practice where you feel supported, challenged, and genuinely valued, we'd love to hear from you.
We hire licensed therapists and associate level clinicians.
We are not currently hiring for any specific positions, but we are always accepting applications from qualified clinicians who feel aligned with our mission. See below to submit a general interest application if you are:
Licensed or supervised in Washington State (LMHC, LMHCA, LICSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
Committed to providing affirming, inclusive care for diverse populations, including LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients
Experienced in or drawn to trauma-informed, somatic, or holistic approaches to treatment
Collaborative, curious, and invested in your own ongoing growth as a clinician and human being
Aligned with our core values of equity, compassion, and whole-person care
Great clinical relationships take time to build. So do great clinical teams. Onboarding a new clinician is a significant investment — of time, of resources, and of trust. We know it takes patience to build a caseload, to find your rhythm, and to settle into a practice that feels like yours. We are invested in the long game and genuinely committed to making it worthwhile for everyone involved. We offer flexibility, autonomy, and the creative freedom to make the role truly your own. In return, we hope our associate clinicians will stay through licensure and long after — not because they have to, but because Sonder Psychotherapy is a place worth staying.
What we offer
We are committed to building a workplace where our clinicians can thrive — professionally and personally.
As an employee at Sonder Psychotherapy, you can expect:
COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION
Competitive, market-rate salaries that reflect the value of your work and your experience level. We believe that fairly compensating our clinicians is foundational to a healthy, sustainable practice.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
We offer hybrid in-person and telehealth positions with scheduling flexibility to support a healthy work-life balance. We know that burnt-out clinicians can't do their best work
— and we take that seriously.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
We support our clinicians in their ongoing professional development through a continuing education stipend.
Because a good therapist is always, in some sense, still learning.
SUPERVISION & MENTORSHIP
Associate level clinicians receive regular individual and group supervision from experienced, licensed clinicians. We are invested in your professional development and committed to providing supervision that is supportive, growth-oriented, and reflective of the same values we bring to our client work.
